Default What do you think of this poker strategy?

Im unemployed, so I can't go playing poker at the casino, however there is a fraternity Id like to join and they have a poker night, I assume Texas Hold em, for a $50 buy in that one of the brothers will see if he can get me in on.

Ive developed a strategy in poker from playing numerous hands on facebooks texas hold em poker game, and wanted to see what better poker players think of it.

First I do maximum buy in that the table allows so I have as large of a bankroll as possible, this makes the blinds in proportion to my bankroll very small.

Unless I get a good pocket pair, say jacks and above inwhich case I will raise prior to the flop, I try to "buy" the flop for as cheap as possible and see what I can go off of with that. The betting prior to the flop is where my strategy is most vulnerable to people raising the pot heavily prior to the flop, I usually fold if I can't get those first 3 cards for cheap. This also doesn't work if the blinds are large in proportion to my bankroll, if my bank roll is $50 and blinds just to play are $1 or more, then I have to be more selective about which hole cards I play.

Then I go from there, and I consider each additional card (The Turn and the River) to be cards that Im buying for a chance of either winning the entire pot amongst several players, or possibly going all in and doubling or tripling my bankroll, say if I have 4 cards needed for a flush, and I need one more card and the turn hasn't even been played yet, thats when Ill pay a small amount for that extra card.

So far the strategy works great against other facebook players. I occasionally lose a few hands, last night I had a queen high flush and someone across the table had a king high flush, so I lost a bit of "fake" money on that, but I often double to quadruple my bankroll in a single sitting at the facebook poker games, and was wondering if I could use this strategy when I go to the texas hold em night at the fraternity?

Edit: I also thought I might add that I don't think this strategy works quite as well with 1v1 unless you can bluff really good, I do it when there are say 4 or more people sitting at the table in facebook poker.
