    Default Knowing your tells

Me and a group of about 6 other players play on a daily basis on a good week. We've been doing so for about a year. When it comes to reading, I just can't do it... so I try to just play odds and my cards. The problem is, out of the 6, there's one of my friends who's a pretty good player note-we're all 16-18. He's pretty much got reading me down to a fine art. When we're all playing, I can do good enough to keep him at bay, but when it comes down to heads up (which happens often enough) I find myself completely screwed. Scenario: we play 5 dollar buy in, 50 chips... I had about 400 chips to his 100... and he just picked me apart piece by piece knowing every time when I was b/sing him and when I had the hand won... Any suggestions on how I'd go about fixing this and/or learning what I shouldn't be doing?

there are a lot of things that he could be reading you on, do you use different betting patterns when you have a good hand vs. when you're bluffing? Do you use the same posture when you have a good hand and a bad hand... there are many more things but these are just a couple of ideas

Some people should jsut stick to online.... No physical tells.

Get a copy of Caro's book, and read it, see if you notice anything. Better yet, see if you can talk ($) somebody into telling you some of your tells, or even better, get a video camera and record one of your home games.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

Definitely read Caro's book. It's fun & succint to read.

Plus, it will teach you how to give reverse tells for players that are looking for them....as long as you don't suck at acting.
