There is a really good book "Crushing Small Stake No Limit" by Jeremy Steinhausen. I think its only $40

Assuming you are talking about no limit 6 max cash games(my specialty), there are many viable strategies you can utilize. For starters, try playing very tight in the first two seats, a bit looser in the next 2 and very loose in the small blind. Try not to call too many raises with weak hands when you are out of position, aka first to act post-flop.
