Hey guys, avid poker player here, 24 yo been playing cards, poker, and gambling in general for about 16 years. My grandfather made his money overseas playing cards, and it's just in my blood.

I'm from a small town called Bridgeport, OH which is about 5 minutes away from the local casino, Wheeling Island. I've just recently gotten back into the swing of things and been going regularly for about the last two weeks. When they first opened the room there was so much action there that if you didn't win money, you may as well quit playing poker, period.

Lately there's nothing but regs, and a couple fish who will buy in and bust and then leave. My biggest issue is figuring out how to beat this table.

I always buy-in with $200, and chip up if I get below $100. Over the last 2 weeks I'm about $14 in the red TOTAL, so I've basically wasted 30-50 hours of my life lol. The problem is, I can't figure out where my major leaks are.

I'm a TAG, and I'm pretty good at laying down a big hand when I know I'm beat. I've thrown away AA once and KK twice to the amazement of the table, and I had the right read each time.

Last night a particular hand got me. The fish sitting to my right was calling everything down with second pair, giving free cards left and right, and raising with nothing. Here's the brief hand summary, I'm in the cutoff and he's directly to my right, full table.

Wang raises to 11, I call with pocket 7s, only two in the pot. Flop comes 969 rainbow. He checks, I bet 15, he calls. Turn is a 2. He checks and I bet $25. He calls. At this point I put him on overs and he just doesn't want to get pushed off of them. Then Q hits on the river, he starts fidgeting and shaking like a wet dog in a freezer. He checks and looks right at me. I read his hand out loud and check, and he rolls over AQ off, and I save myself a value bet on the river.

With this specific situation, do I push more and get him to fold? I'm trying to make this sucker pay for calling me with nothing and trying to draw out. Do I keep value betting him and just hope he misses?

The reason I'm asking this is because I can't seem to make a move either way when I sit. I go up to 280, then back to 190, then up to 270, then down to 200 again. And I usually walk with about 200 because the table that late is all regs and the chips just go back and forth and we donate to the house. Should I be tightening up as my stack goes up? The only loose hands I played were hands that Wang had raised or limped in and I had a decent drawing hand (Ax suited, low suited connecters) and I was just trying to catch and have him bluff all his chips to me. Let me know where I'm going wrong, or if you guys have a general local $1/$2 strategy that works for you.
