Default How big a raise do you need to make in micro stakes MTT's to isolate???

I thought 6x BB would be the right amount here, but not even close.

3-4xBB+1/limper (Three to Four times the big blind, plus an additional big blind for every limper in the pot) Reply back with the amount you should have raised based on that.
That said, it still can be hard (or impossible) to knock people out in a MTT early on preflop, I doubt a larger raise would have changed things much.

Hand 2, I probably would have just checked. AJo isn't a strong hand, especially in a raised pot OOP vs. so many, and they would call because they think "lolpotoddslol" and overcall down the line. I'd hope for a top pair+ type hand and a "kinda" wet board so we can knock out some of the tards. If it's a very wet board you gotta be careful due to reverse implied odds (ahead now but likely to lose a good amount by the end of the hand.)

    140-160

I like that "reverse implied odds" because that's about right.

Early in a big micro MTT % of wins to hands played is usually very low yet later in the game when blinds are big the number of hands won can exceed the number of hands played as pot stealing takes down a lot of pots.
