    Default Good Fold?

Playing in a casino, 1-3 NL Cash Game, i'm sitting with about 650 behind me. Just to give you some background, i had just won a big hand about 15 minutes prior with Ace high, however, i played that hand well...

I'm sitting in the big blind, look down at two black Ace's. guy who is sitting 2 positions ahead of big blind raises to 15, 2 callers... action comes back to me, i raised to 58 dollars. original raiser folds, next guy (has about 400 behind him) calls, guy next to the button also calls (has about 350 left).

    Flop: Kd 10 d 4d (pot 160)

I lead out 100, first guy folds, guy next to the button thinks for a while and pushes all in.

We do have a history, an hour ago i caught him in a bluff and he lost a 200 dollar pot. overall, i'd classify him as a loose aggressive player, but occasionally, at showdown he's had the nuts.

I think i think i think, 250 dollars for me to call. I let my hand go. He flips over 2 4 offsuit, with the 4 of diamonds.

I recognize this player was retarded for calling preflop with the hand he had, but against any other player what should i do?
    What should i have done.

Is there too much money in the pot for me to lay it down?

your calling 250 to win 650 against a player who you've already seen bluff in a big pot --seems automatic no?

    Hero-
    Board

    pot= 610.. 250 to call all-in.

I would snap call. His range has a ton of draws, and you are ahead of most of them getting good pot odds to call on AA vs pair + FD. If he has KT you still have draws to make better 2 pair (Almost getting right pot odds to call KT)

i certainly made a bad fold-i guess going by the size of his stack, i was just really afraid of a baby flush/set of 10's.

but by pot odd's-i should have called...could have taken down a huge pot.

    any more input?

i almost think that my bet on the flop was my weakness, had i bet the pot, ~200, he may not have raised all in, because then it would only be 150 more for me to call, and of course then i would call. I think if i bet 200, he folds.

    Welcome to the forum Doc!

    Calling $58 preflop with a 2-4 off.

At least you are not posting this in the bad beats thread

seriously, what a terrible play on his part preflop. what do you think of my bet on the flop? I think if i bet 200 on the flop, i take the pot down...any thoughts on checking this flop and then re-raising

    probably meant the 2d.

you, deem to be doing what many new players deo and try to put someone on a specific hand when you simply don't have enough information/experience to make that specific a read. Instead think of ranges; what range of hands would he make that bet with.

Likely any K, or pair + Ace flush draw, JQ w/ 1 diamond, set, maybe a small flush, etc. If you look at his overall range you'll find you're well ahead
