Default What Is Your Opinion On Unsuited Connectors

What is your opinion on playing unsuited connectors from middle or late position? If everyone limps in or folds to me I might play them given that they are 67 or better. In late position I am much more likely to play cards like these if it goes un-raised, but I still don't like playing them too much in a full ring game. Any suggestions?

I kinda hate them, they have really crappy showdown value. They're fine to steal the blinds with late position, or when you expect to have a good amount of fold equity postflop. I might play T9o and 98o in some rare situations

Depends on my mood, stack and opponents play styles (and of course position) I wouldnt play anything like 67 78 89 in EP, auto fold pretty much, unless I feel like trying a limp.

offsuited connectors aren't as profitable, the best scenario you can hope for is to make two pair on the flop or on the rare instance, flop a straight. i will play 9 10 offsuit, on the button however.

do yourself a favor, get rid of them.

get in cheap, get out quick. docmd is correct though- not as profitable.
personally, I prefer a gap between my cards some days. It adds a nice blinder on some folk

unsuited connectors are a very common leak in many players' games... another easy fold that isn't made enough by mediocre players...

Too many players play too many hands. Folding unsuited connectors is the easiest way to tighten up your game for the above reason. There are plenty enough suited connectors to get you a mixed range without adding the unsuited ones and of course I want MP3, CO or LP position so I can raise with less chance of getting re-raised and maybe steal the blinds.

They are terrible hands in general. The only reason to play them is if you are an experienced and skilled player who is able to use them to steal the blinds with limited resistance. You will rarely make a strong hand and you will often find yourself in tough spots. Don't bother playing with them until you are very experienced and then you can consider adding them to your game.
