    Default Mental Preparation

What sorts of things should you think about immediately before you start a card session, whether it be ring or tournament?

    Default dull..

I always work to optimise a session. I'll aim to play two sites maximising reload bonuses/rakeback or overlays for tournaments... Once the hour value has dropped then I'm out..

I guess I'm thinking about return strategy for the following two hours....

I have several game strategies depending on what format I'm playing and I run through the "right" one in my head before starting.

Then I do my pre-playing window arrangement, which is always the same.

Then I enter the names of my opponents in PokerTracker immediately. This helps me concentrate.

Then I bust out to a 3 outer on the river.

Hey, I'm gonna do the cheap answer and refer you to a couple of books. First, Zen is probably the best "Mindset" book on poker out there, secondly, "Killer poker" is all bout the game with out talking about the cards. Vorhaus talks ALOT about mental prep for the game.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
