Howard lederer talked about this in the 4th street section of his video...he checked on 4th street so he can call only one bet instead of betting then getting reraised.

Is ledered refering to LImit or No limit... The phrase "One Bet" usually refers to LImit games.
But what you did here, I think Howard gave a lecture on called "checking for Value". If you bet on this river, the only hands that call you, probably have you beat, and they will then probably raise. By checking, you are inducing a bluff, therefore increasing the EV of your call. I beleive checking actually has more +EV than Betting does.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.
