    Default Limit Hold em topic

Ok so I mostly play low limit limit games online, and I have been thinking about my play with made hands. If you have near to or the nuts, how do you play against one oponent who you pretty much know in general he will call down anything.

I am just having a lot of trouble figuring out how to maximize profits with these hands. Right now if my oponent bets into me, i am just calling flop, raising turn, and betting river. When i am first to act its a little harder, if i check the flop and he checks behind, its hard to figure out what to do on 4th street. It seems like 80% of the time when i come out and bet the turn my oponent folds and im left wondering whether i should have just checked.

    Any advice apreciated. Thanks.

Its limit, just betting it out every round isn't gonna maximize profits. The players i play against can become very passive sometimes, I believe there is a better maybe more tricky way to max. profits with made hands.

You said they were passive. You said this was LLH. What, you think passive players are going to bluff bet? NO, they check it down. You need to make them pay to call down with bottom pairs and such. They aren't going ot get cute and crafty, and if they do, you just 3 bet. In a SSH game, I have NO problems capping each street with KQ on a board of 2 8 Q 5 3. You take your hands that have good equity (and you will be seeing showdowns so shuddup Steve ) and you bet your ass of with them. There is so much dead money in the pot, that even Q9s becomes playable UTG. You will get paid, let them pay you. Getting cute and slowplaying only misses bets.

Marm I hope you were just exaggerating on that KQ hand lol.

if I have position and it is checked to me I bet, If I am out of position I bet the flop and if I'm called check the turn to induce a bet from my opponent.

What I meant was that faced with agression, these players will become really passive and just call flop, turn, and river. So if I just bet it out on all streets, I will make 5 big blinds for the flop, turn, and river. If I were to check call flop, check raise turn, and bet out river, i end up making 7 big blinds, which will become significant long term. This is what I am doing right now, i play a made hand that way every time, and they always pay it off. What I was wondering is if anyone knew of a way to make more then 7 big blinds here. Thanks.

bb= big bets lol.. Limit is always measured in BBs not SBs..

Anyways the problem is you give them a free card on the turn if they are drawing... I like Marm's way better. Straight forward play is all you need to beat a LLH table.

Its not about beating the game, I think i have already accomplished that, its about maximizing profits. nvm doesn't matter, i will try and come up with something, I am pretty sure there has to be a better way. And when i say made hand, i mean a hand that is not very vulnerable to a draw.

I like that one, usually in this situation i will just continue to bet, I will have to give this play a try.
