Question Did Daniel Negreanu have a chance to fold or not?

    Hello,

I just so this big pot with Daniel Negreanu and was thinking if I was in the same spot....any chance folding??

    Daniel Negreanu vs Gus Hansen

I think he had no choice....
You win some, you lose some, right?

Poker is so much harder then golf, huh?

Use youtube . I'm guessing it's the full vs quads . Gus played it wrong and got lucky .

If you watched everything leading up to that pot, it's a different story. Daniel was getting sucked out on left and right. He was flopping the nuts and losing like there was no tomorrow.

A player at his level who knows his opponent that well could have folded there. I think Daniel's skill level is so high that he knew he should have folded. However, he was definitely tilting at that point, which made him call.

I, on the other hand, would have snap called immediately, saw his hand, then protested that OFFline poker is rigged!

At that level of poker, the only reason to call would be if Daniel believed that Gus Hansen would go all in on a complete bluff. With that board, a good player would not go all in for that much with just a straight. Daniel had to know that he was up against at least another full house. Of all the possible full houses, Daniel's one was mid range at best.

I'm not saying that folding is the correct thing to do, but it wouldn't be completely out of line to do so.

Folding would have been the correct thing to do. He got sucked in and tilted. Bad play IMO.
