I need help with this particular issue. When you play a turbo SNG, especially a 9 person one, there aren't a lot of chips floating around you end up short stacked really quick. My problem is deciding when when to go for an all in blind steal or to wait and hold your ground. For example,in a 9 man turbo SNG, by the time 6 are left I often have gone from 1500 chips to 1200 and the blinds are 300/150. On full tilt, they increase every 3 minutes.
So now I have only 4BBs less and getting worse as it increases. I've read it is a good idea to shove when its folded to you any 2 cards with the hope that they will fold and you get the 450 chips in the blinds. All it really does is buy you more time to find a real hand and make a stand. If they call, I'm likely facing 2 overcards or maybe just 1 overcard and have a 35-40% of winning the hand, rarely I may be dominated. So I think its a good play to make and its better than just letting yourself get blinded out.
Should I shove ANY 2 cards given an opportunity to steal blinds? How short stacked should I get before its worth the risk of all in blind stealing?
I was thinking 6-7BB I start shoving any 2 cards when it folded to me to steal,at 10BB I don't all steal all in I'll wait for a hand first.
But honestly 10BB isnt that bad in a 9 man turbo where no one has a lot of chips so I dont usually play 10BB in "push-fold" mode for 9 man games. Say I got AK and I have 10BB left in Middle Position, shoving all in will just make everyone fold but if u raise 2-3xbb and get a caller than shove the flop if u miss or play it a little slower if u hit may be a better option?

Generally around the 10bb area start looking to shove. If possible you want to try to shove into medium stacks who are less likely to call with marginal hands. At some point (around 6-7bb) you pretty much have to grit your teeth and shove any two cards.

Yeah thats exactly what I thought. The thing is when I get eliminated shoving 86 with 7BBs left to steal, they call me a donk and start to wonder if it really is that right play

Depends on position. If everyone folds to you on the button and you just have the 2 blinds to worry about, shove away. If you're in middle position, wait.

Yeah, you want to be stealing primarily when it folds to you in the SB/Button.
As for them calling you a donk, if they don't realize why you're shoving there, then they're most likely the donk, not you. You have to think about it this way: even if AK calls you you're around 30-35% to win. As long as you're shoving while you still have some fold equity left, it is the correct play. You have blinds and antes to win, and most mid-stacks you shove in to should be folding JJ+ in that situation.
If you know they are going to call you with ATC, I try to shove with some sort of face card if possible.

What about when you have 6BBs left, and in middle position with 97 off its folded to you. Take a chance at the blinds or wait till another day? Antes would make it much more compeling but there are no antes on Fulltilt Sngs which I mostly play

In MP I generally wait for something better. In the button or SB I would shove.

you should start stealing blinds when blinds are 50/100, thats when everyone starts to tighten up. A min raise can get people to fold their blinds. with blinds 15-/300, take note everyone tightens up, and as such any raise/shove would signal a strong hand. When im playing with less than 10bb, i'd shove a hand that has A or K, pockets, and in desperation connectors (preferably suited). However, if a person before me raises strong, i better be calling with a good hand. Also take note, everyone is trying to steal blinds here, so some raises/all-ins maybe with marginal hands. Just have to figure out how loose that player is.

Right and wrong. It's actually the blind levels in comparison with your stack. If you have 700 in chips and blinds are 100, it's worth it to steal.
If you have 3,000...the risk isn't worth the small reward.
When I get to 9-10 BB's, I'm in push/fold mode. If a hand is playable, I push all in...even if it's AA. "Playable" hands vary depending on my position...the later the position I'm in, the more wide my playable hand range is.Well over $300,000 free every month in 2011 with freerolls, rake races, and rake chases!
