24.00 30K guaranteed (I think 30K). As for the hand, I knew this idiot didn't have the ace or flush. Can't believe he called his whole stack with 2nd pair. Did I play this wrong? As it turns out, this idiot was down 4K and had I known that...wouldn't have made the bluff. Tough to bluff losing players.

Did I Play This Incorrectly???

The button isn't a license to play any hand. It's one thing to bet it pre-flop, but given there was already a raise, I'm dropping that preflop every time.

There's only one reason to make this call PF - to hit a str8 or flush or draw(s) and trap. That is the implied odds of doing something like this, and only because the stacks are so deep still. With 2 opponents in the hand, a dangerous board, you completely missed, and your "story" from the flop not looking like either a flush draw or an Ace, bluffing in this spot is suicide. Pick easier spots. There's absolutely no reason to risk such a huge hero move this early on a stone cold bluff without having an insane read on your opponent.
From all your bad beat complaints and hands you post, it seems like you take things way too personally in poker. I've been there, and done some of the same stuff before. Try to stop thinking in terms of "this guy's a donk so he must be full of shit, I'm gonna pwn him", and just sit back and analyze logically. Think of hand ranges at each street. What range does he likely have based on his preflop play, table dynamic, image, etc? In that range, what can I narrow that down to based on what he did on the flop? Does he fold often enough to be able to make plays at him or is he fairly loose with his calling? What kind of hand range does my play look like?
I think you could improve a lot if you take your feelings out of the game. Don't take lost pots personally. Even the pros make bad plays, so you will too. Learn to give up on horrible situations and look forward to the next opportunity; or try your best in the sticky situation, but learn from your mistake instead of blaming the other guy.For great rakeback options and lots of member freerolls and promotions, sign up at Rakebrain!
