No hand is good pre-flop despite them all looking incredible. The nuts is not the nuts. If you're drawing to less than 87 outs your hand is trash.

I dont like to push a set early, I like to check or smooth call with it. I dont like to push a nut flush draw either unless I am last to act. Just know that your big hands will get cracked so unless you have the absolute nuts dont push it hard until the last card. You must also be ready to fold that K or Q high flush, or bottom full house.
Think only the nuts.

If you're not good at PLO then switch to HE. The variance is much lower and it's generally easier there.
