Default New guy here , couple questions .

I have trolled around on here for a few days now and decided to join in . I have followed some advice on here and have started winning more of the time . maybe just a fluke , but we'll see . Anyhow my first question is how do I pick a table ? I usually try to play on 4 tables with the abc poker strategy . what are the things I should look for in a table before I decide to sit down at it . forgot to say , but I play on fulltilt .

Another question I have is what to do if I'm out of position and raise preflop with a hand like AK get one caller , the flop comes all under cards , rainbow , I do a continuation bet and get called , the turn comes and its a jack ? I still dont have a hand , so whats the best play here ?

Oh , and what is a bet ? like when someone says " I three bet it " etc ? what is considered a bet ?

Thanks for any advice given and I will continue to lurk around

The first bet is the big blind. The first raise is the second bet. Then the reraise is the 3bet.
That's at least the convention I've seen used on this forum. On 'High Stakes Poker,' they don't count the big blind, and the 3bet is the second re-raise.

pick a table on how big the pot is and how many players to the flop

the more players to the flop the more donks are splashing, the more money in the pot the more you will win

    Question 1: Answered
    Question 3: Answered

Question 2: depends on actual cards, Opponent, did turn bring a back door flush draw, whats your image at table.

2h 4c 8d JavaScript board is a good board to fire on because hard for villian to continue on
2h 6c 7d Jc board is a good board to fire on because lots of draws for villian to continue with that you are ahead of.
7h 8c 9c JavaScript is not a good board to fire on any most hands that called flop arent going anywhere on the Turn

Villian type is also very important, can he fold bottom pair, if the answer is no don't bet Turn

and for choosing a table sometimes it depends on your preference.
do you prefer less people, more heads up or do you thrive in more people

I will tell you how to find ze action tables. You want to look at the player / flop and hands per hour stats.
    1. Player / flop - anything above 40% is ACTION
    2. Hands per hour - You want 70-90. 100+ means the table is most likely brand new and therefore the other stats are misleading. Remember, the juicier the table you find, the easier it is to make monies with little effort

IMO , after the turn under cards + Jack , and you have raised and he has called but no re-raise , you will have to bet again , slightly more (15%)
than your last bet .... if u then get re-raised (by a large amount) u could
probably fold easy enough ... u could probably put him on a small pair
which missed the flop and turn with no big over cards to chase him off
    (K Q A) ... just my 5c ..lol

I think one general rule ( I could be very wrong here , its my own rule) is to always try
and put your opponent on a hand , and bet accordingly .....
