Hey guys
I just wanted to share my thoughts on Heads up Sit and Go games, playing a small ball style when you're facing a tight/ passive opponent.
These guys are the easiest to play against and the simplest to beat. These guys don't raise much (unless they have a good hand), fold their small blind more than they should and don't call bets with weak hands.
So how do we play them? We can limp with all of our hands because any two cards against this player type can be played profitably. Why can any two cards be played profitably? Because they fold whenever they miss the flop and they'll miss 70% of the time.
So against these guys I limp or min raise with lots of hands and just fire a min bet at the flop when I'm checked to. The min bet is genius against these guys as they'll often give up and because you're betting min, your bluffs will be super profitable.
Likewise, when these guys limp in, I'll often just donk bet (lead out) with a min bet at lots of dry boards, high card boards etc and expect to take the hand down a large amount of the time.
Things to watch out for vs this player type are things like calling his pre flop raises or raises in general. These guys seldom bluff and as such you should be getting out of the way unless you have a hand. When they also call your min bets on the flop, you can be sure they have second pair or better (often a top pair) or at worst a big draw. They don't call very often so just give them some respect when they do and don't put any more money in the pot unless you have a good hand.
You'll basically grind these guys down by chipping away at them and you should not be looking to create huge pots unless you run two big hands into each other.
Hope that is of some help to you guys, I'll be writting on playing other player types soon.
Good luck
Broker

Thanks Broker, really great vids! I recently won a freeroll on Sun Poker that my local free poker league put up and got $30 for it. I already donked away half of it because I don't have rakeback there and would have to transfer it to Full Tilt to ever withdraw it, but now seeing your "how we roll" thingy has got me interested. I'm gonna see what I can do with $15 starting at the $1 HUSNG.
I watched the first couple videos and just won my first game. I played small pot poker mostly, was down a couple hundred, until I PF raised with A2s from the button, hit 2 pair on the flop, and got him all-in on the turn - he had AK. He only had a few hundred left with blinds at 30/60, and I took it in the next few minutes. He was the same type as your first video, he had 4 or 5 big blinds and kept folding or limping. Never shoved once on the short stack. Yummy fish.
I like this approach. Before, I was the over-aggressive type in HU, trying to mask my hands by being consistently aggressive. But that just loses you more chips when you don't have the goods.
I'm gonna try to stick to this and let you know how I do as I go along. Hopefully I'll win the next freeroll for my league and get a little BR boost

I find more loose aggressive play style and my value bets getting called much more in HUSNG's. I think they're ridiculously easy, but not a whole lot of fun.
