Default AKoff, what do you do

You have AKoffsuit, 5/10 LHE, in middle position, everyone folds to guy right of you, he riases it to $10, do you raise to $15, or just call? what do you guys do, and what do you think is the right play?

Raise - you want to get heads up with the guy to your right.

Recent thread also applies here: The Infamous Ace-King offsuit

In this scenario though, the pot has been raised, and immediatly to your right at that. For me, this is an instant 3-bet. You want to get this HU. While AKo is a drawing hand, it still is the strongest HU non-pair you can have. Worst case, hes got AA or KK. He'll cap it then.

Just try to figure out what hands he may have raised with, and If the flop seemed to miss him, you might want to bet/raise for info/semibluff/bluff.

Yep same for me... however, if you have a maniac on your left you can just call and hope for a reraise and see what the guy on your right will do to get more info.

If its a 5 bet cap game, I raise here, let the nutcase 4 bet and then we see what the bettor thinks of hios hand now.....

    4 bets... I dunno..............................

Not saying it's the ultimate strategy, but it's definatily an option.

Reraise is my first choice, but I would surely think about the 2nd one with a real maniac right next to me... in a 4 bet cap game of course...

Good advice. Every once in a awhile I'll have a one of those players to my right that raises alot of hands then shuts down if anybody plays back - I'll just call and wait till the flop/turn to get more bets. Some maniacs will open raise with alot of Ax hands, those are the people I'm talking about. I would say though that >90% 3 bet in this situation.

    3bet 200% of the time.

This actually means that you should attempt to reraise and then cap yourself. Whether your dealer or online cardroom will allow that I don't know.

Didnt know there were so many 5/10 players here.

You guy do know it was $5/$10 right?

I only know what I would do at 5c/10c-.5/1 and that is raise.

    Otherwise player and table dependant.
