Default pls help me to stop sucking at MTT's

I really suck at online tournaments. Not the hard one's either. In the last year of playing maybe two $10 or less buyin MTT's per week I have a ROI of about -20%. I typically make it down to the final 20% of players but I'm normally down to M=10 or so by then and if I survive the bubble I end up getting some shit prize like 2x my buyin. I have not made it high up the payout structure for ages. I don't go ballistic with junk as soon as the bubble bursts either.

I'm running at approx 18/12 but I tend to play tighter earlier, a bit looser through the middle stages then I change to about 10/10 as the bubble nears as I'm always shortstacked by then. I feel like I should be more aggressive but I hate risking my chips with B grade hands during the early madness.

So what can I do to be better?

I was just about to post something similar. I had a few decent cashes late last year on betfair and one on full tilt, and one earlier this year on stars and since then it's been depressing. I either just make the money with no chips or go out earlier in some stupid hand. The advide i would give to you and myself is i imagine you just have to gamble sometimes. I cant think of any other way because the guys who go a long way in these tourneys just win races and get slapped with the deck. I watch shaundeeb the other day just to see how he played and why he was so successful. All i saw was a guy who got dealt hands and won every race he played. Is that skill? Im sure he and others are very good players, but in the fairly quick online tourneys how much skill is there? I dont know what to suggest and when you go through patches where all you get dealt is 95 48 Q2 J6 i have no idea how to play. Im getting really pissed off and sympathise with you. I also start to question my ability and say that i must be doing something horribly wrong, but i never look at hands other ppl play and go wow i would never have played that. Im like yeah id have played that...if i was ever fucking dealt it.

Don't be afraid to go broke early or bubble.

Pick the players to exploit and exploit them hard, a lot of these players really suck and some are weak tight as hell and just can't help themselves but fold AA on the bubble for 6BB.

Also you need to be able to addapt, the stratergy changes hugely from level to level, the general idea is to watch your oponents and try to come up with a stratergy to best get the money out of them.

Have someone that plays MTT's coach you is all I can say. It helped me a lot. Your asking for advice here is kind of vague. It would be like me posting "How could I perform brain surgery at home?"
