Default How do I get people off draws in PLO?

I've starting playing PLO recently, and I'm not very good yet so I've been playing micro stakes. I started with $5 and I'm up to $25 at the moment, but it would be alot more if I didn't keep having one recurring problem. This problem is that often when I flop the nuts (or at least a hand which I think is best) I often get called to the river by a flush draw or whatever and they often hit it. An example (not the worst, but just the most recent) is here http://www.pokerhand.org/?4081122. How do I get people off those kinda draws!?! Betting pot just doesn't seem to do it...

EDIT: Another situation, what happens if you suspect the draw has hit?

You don't want to get people off draws. You want them to call you down with incorrect odds.

Bet pot every time and if you have the nuts they will most likely not have odds to call you.

More often than not they seem to hit with the flushes or straights. Or sometimes they hit full houses with my straights v 2 pair or trips, so I do want to get them off it! Maybe I've just been unlucky since I've only been playing PLO a couple of weeks, and in the long run they''ll miss more often than not?

Well the whole of poker is about probablity, even if they will hit their streight or flush a huge amount of the time if they are having to put in more money than that are likely to make then you will profit long term.

It is not about how many pots you win but about how much $ you make from them.

Thing to remember about PLO is so many hands have a huge amount of outs. Some have so many outs they it is right for you both to go all in no matter how much money you have behind.

Take for example a 5d6sAd if you have AA55 here you have the nuts and two quads draws. However is the oponant has 3d4d7s8s he has (roughly) 18 outs either to a streight or flush. He is winning here even though you currently have the nut made hand.

Something to think about when your top set gets "cracked" you might not have been ahead at all. So you cannot price him out.

I'm not sure this is ever the case in holdem, though AA on Ad5s6s against 7s8s might be close..

In PLO it is often the case that the bettor, and the caller are making a good decision

Thanks for the replies, I guess I just need to get used to being sucked out on, but also sucking out on others. This hand just happened, and although both the better and ONE of the callers made the right decision (according to the cardplayer odds calculator, the guy who shoved had 48.35%, i had 48.95%, and the 3rd caller had 2.7%) I have no idea what the other guy was doing, but guess who won! :P Jokerstars!!

(edit: this hand soon after http://www.pokerhand.org/?4089940 )
