Default how do you play AK against maniacs?

    I there's basically 2 ways:
    1) push hard pre-flop (maybe 6~10 BBs if he's really a maniac) and harder on flop if you hit... maybe give away if you don't hit (you hardly can know where you're at if you get a flop like 59Q)

    2) push normally pre-flop (maybe 3~4 BBs) so it's easier to give away if you don't hit (what will happen about 70% of the times)

depending on the flop, a potsize bet may help since, in case he didn't hit anything, he probably won't call (unless, of course, he has Ax, which is a very good hand to call anything)

otherwise I think giving away or calling small bets is ok
    what you think?

The Maniac is an opponent who is in every hand, and when he enters a pot he typically does so betting, raising, or re-raising regardless of what he holds.

    re-raise him back?

if you really think he may have any 2 cards and he bets or reraises and you can get him alone , Fck him raise him all in.

    with any flop?

considering you missed the flop and that it's more likely that he has different cards than you, I guess there's a better chance he flopped something (in case you didn't)

In which case try to get it in pre as he'll show up with dominated hands all the time.

this is what I meant. Make him make a decision for his chips pre-flop when he is most likely behind. If your uncomfortable with doing this, fold it preflop and come hang out with me since we both seem to be gutless.

in fact that's what I usually do, but the problem is some maniacs are playing anything, not just Ax Kx, so he may have Q8s, 96...
in that case, it's hard to play post-flop in case you miss it
how you deal with that if you miss the flop and he makes a big raise?
