Did i over play this? I figured on his reraise all-in that he probably had A9xx, but I felt i was committed enough, his raise was only like 1/3 my bet, that i could safely call.

PokerStars (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is BB with , , , . SB posts a blind of 15.
1 fold, MP calls, 1 fold, Button calls, 1 fold, Hero checks.

Flop: , , (3 players)
Hero bets pot, MP calls, Button calls.

Turn: (3 players)
Hero bets pot, MP raises allin about 1/3 of bet, Button folds, Hero calls.

River: (2 players)

Final Pot:

Results in white below:
Hero has As 3d 5s 5c (High: full house, fives full of nines).
MP has Ad 9d 2c 6s (Low: 7, 6, 5, 2, A | High: full house, nines full of aces).
Outcome: MP wins .

Bottom set is really bad in omaha, and it is even worse in hi lo.

if you had some type of backup low I'd play it fast but with high only hopes you need to fold this to a bet on the flop, yes thats right it's a check fold situation on the flop. it's a miniscule pot just let it go even if means folding the best hand at the moment.

with 2 low cards, 2 over cards, 2 hearts, and add in a 234 making someone a straight. even if you are best now it is very likely you will be outdrawn and I think the best case scenario is you get 1/2 the pot.

Steve is dead-on correct here. I think the biggest loser hand for me in O8/b has been bottom set.
