Haha he posted UTG! What a gambooler^^
To the hand: What are you triying to accomplish on the turn? There's no way you can't think your hand is good here. I think a check-3bet would be fine ^^ I might just lead out though. What are your notes on the button? The river call is fine, you're going to lose it most of the time, but he only has to have a flsuh 8.5% of the time to make it profitable.“There's no sense in being precise when you don't even know what you're talking about.” - John von Neumann

AHh btw, this was my first hand at the table..... so no notes on anybody, and PT/GT hadn't spun up yet on this table.
Flush? Screw the flush, the boad was double paired and I had the bottom set.
But yeah, the CR shoulda been my move, since Overcalls werent a problem/issue/goal now since there were now 2 bettors. OR is that comment results oriented?Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

i think you played this one right. And he (marm) was winning on the turn. I think you were good all around, except of course on the river as you mentioned. Good play.

You have to raise the turn. He is going to call another bet, and he is definitely going to call the river even if he misses. He is drawing to 7 outs, but he thinks he is ahead. He may even raise you if you bet on the river when he misses. At least a 3 didn't come up.
So basically, on this hand, you would have lost more by raising, but it is the correct move. Raising the turn is your most profitable play.
Oh yea, fold the river.

WTF? How can you check call that turn?
I wouldn't check-raise though, I would bet out, someone with a single heart or middle pair will call, but not always bet.

Ditto.

Honestly, to hell with what's in the pot. Fold the river. If the river were another Ace, I say fold, of course, but the 8 trumps you and you have to know that.

Your play is very inconsistent, this isn't NL. You bet the flop but then check the turn when you made your hand? Please, enough with this FPS. Had that 8 not came on the river, the guy with trip aces would be giving you a nice pot.
