Default Thoughts QQ with a limper

29 left of 180 in a 200k Qualifier on Party. Top seven qualify.

Thoughts here please folks both on my initial bet and what should happen next. I had no information on the limper as it was his second hand at the table or the other callers after my raise. The CO I knew to be a maniac with a VPIP of 45% (which at this stage of a MTT is insane).

It's your thought's on the initial min reraise from me and also at the point of decision here I'm after (to call would leave 75 chips so it's essentially an all-in or fold).

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t300 (9 handed) converter

Irexes (t1875)
MP3 (t4477)
CO = (Maniac)/ (t12770)
Button (t2040)
SB (t4042)
BB (t16601)
UTG (t3165)
UTG+1 = (Limper)/ (t5680)
MP1 (t7725)

Preflop: Irexes is MP2 with , .
2 folds, UTG+1 = (Limper)/ calls t300, 1 fold, Irexes raises to t600, 1 fold, CO (Maniac)/ calls t600, Button calls t600, SB calls t300, UTG+1 (Limper)/ calls t300.

Flop: (t3150) , , (5 players)
SB checks, Limper bets t1200

Raise or fold...

The small raise preflop brought to many players in the hand to be sure youre QQ is still the best hand.

I would say yes, but cant be sure.

considering you was Low stack I would go all in.

Thanks

Just to clarify, it's 1200 to call and I have 1275 chips at this point

(I'm guessing I'm not going to be able to push him out the pot with my mighty stack).

Definately should have raised more preflop and you have to push on the flop.

with a little over 6bb left you have to move all in preflop. anything under 10BB is all in or fold for me preflop.

Super.

The post-flop call is a given.

My pre-flop raise left a bad taste in my mouth. I usually would push in this situation preflop, but I've a had a nagging feeling lately that I'm not maximising my return on good hole cards by getting the chips to quickly and often taking the pot on the spot (I play a risk averse MTT strategy and like to make my opponents make the mistake).

However this time I was looking to build a pot (which worked as I attracted callers) and hope the flop left me still looking good. Potentially a way to double-up and then some.

Your comments coupled with the fact that the limper flipped A8s will support me in getting back to the straight and narrow

Thanks

Rex

Yeah.. allin PF here once I realized ytour stack size, with 6 bb's, picking up 3.5 more is >50% stack increase. Good work for any hand not seeing a flop. And if you get called, bring it, you got a hand that can handle a call.

EVen if you were CL, You needed to make it at least 4bb's here. A min raise with alimper is practically the same as limping.

I hate the min raise with QQ but that is not an uncommon move for a short stack. As it worked out, call.

Push preflop easily. Push the flop if you somehow misclicked and hit the min raise button.

The case for min. raising is to make sure people call, and get money in the pot. It is risky.

The way I look at the flop play, you only have about 4BB, so you can't make a big mistake.
