Actually had a good session on UB, but two of hands left me feeling a little fishy.
The players at this table were abnormally fishy and agressive for UB - so I felt I had a pretty good implied odds for this hand. In-fact, the PFR in this hand had just won two of the biggest pots I have ever seen with complete crap hands and getting lucky runner runners.

Preflop: Hero is SB with,
.
2 folds, UTG+2 raises, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 3 folds, Hero calls, 1 fold.
Flop: (7 SB),
,
(3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, I figured I had good odds with a belly and flush draw - and I may be able to buy a free card UTG+2 3-bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls I dont feel strong enough to cap it 3-way
Turn: (8 BB)(3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets, MP2 calls, Hero calls.
River: (11 BB)(3 players)
Hero checks - this could be the fishiest move - I really don't feel I am up against a pot and it will be hard to put me on a straight, UTG+2 bets, MP2 calls, Hero raises, UTG+2 folds, MP2 calls.
Final Pot: 16 BB
Results in white below:
Hero has 8s 6s (straight, ten high).
MP2 has Ts Ah (two pair, tens and sevens) what percentage of the time would middle pair be good against a flop check-raise and a 3-bet?
Outcome: Hero wins 16 BB.
Then this in Omaha8b, again this table was terrible from what I had seen, and the PFR was a nut job. UB players continue the tradition of only folding hands that contain A2.

1 fold, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 raises, Hero calls, 1 fold, Button 3-bets, 2 folds, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 caps, Hero calls, Button calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls. I really don't like calling, but UB players have a tendancy to bet ANY suited ace.
Flop: (22.40 SB),
,
(5 players)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero raises, Button calls $0.10 (All-In), UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls, MP2 3-bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.
2nd nut draw and top pair, I am hoping to isolate with the raise. I dont like the 3-bet, but this guy is an ass.
Turn: (17.40 BB)(5 players, 1 all-in)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 calls, MP1 calls.
River: (21.40 BB)(5 players, 1 all-in)
UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds. - now I was wishing I had raised
Final Pot: 23.40 BB
Results in white below:
MP2 has 3s Ac Qs Ks (Low: 8, 5, 4, 3, A | High: one pair, fives).
Hero has Qh 3h As Tc (Low: 8, 5, 4, 3, A | High: two pair, tens and fives).
Button has 8h 2c 7c 4d (Low: 8, 7, 5, 4, 2 | High: two pair, eights and fives).
Outcome: Hero wins 17.55 BB. MP2 wins 5.85 BB.

FIrst hand. Fold that puppy. Dont care what hes played in the past, your hand sucks, cant call any raise with it. Apparently he felt his hand was good enough for a raise, so anybody else coming alonbg also felt their hand is good enough. muck this crap.
I dunno bout the riase on that flop that much equity wise, but free card wise, good enough. Cept it backfired, oh well, that'll happen.
I just wanna know wtf he had? AKo?Last edited by Marm; 04-30-2005 at 11:40 AM.

but my reverse implied odds were 900,000/500
You are probably right, I would have mucked it from the button, the SB probably didnt add enough, but I fully expected the BB to call, this was the first pot I had seen that wasn't 8 handed.
I had 13 outs, so shoud have had enough equity with 2 to come.
And as for what he had, based on his past play it could have been 55 or A7.
Seriously people were raising EP with 64o and calling 3 cold with J6s. I saw to pots capped like 6 ways preflop in the last 10 hands, craziest UB table ever.Last edited by Beavis68; 04-30-2005 at 11:43 AM.

I may be way off base, but I seriously think you overplayed top pair/ 2nd nut low in that O8/b hand. Reading that hand I was shocked that you weren't beat both ways.

I don't disagree with you.
Not sure whether that hand was a good read, inspiration, or drunk luck. Both of these hands are plays I would almost never make.
Seems like these are always my biggest pots, won a $60 pot in PLO with just a pair of jacks and an Ace kicker vs jacks wiht a king kicker. We were both on busted straight draws.

That's pretty funny. I once scooped a rather large pot in PLO8/B because with the nut low and a pair of 4s. My opponent had his low counterfitted on the river..
