For those that don't mind....... What is your current bankroll (one site) and what did you start with? I am just curious really about the relation to the initial deposit and overall effect it has on the ability to win.
Edit: Let me clarify, what I am looking for the difference in is where two players end up. Player A - Deposit of $100.00 Player B - Deposit of $1500.00.
I personally started at PokerStars (most recently, there have been previous deposits at the same and other site) with $100.00 and after a months time I am at $1,200.00. Crazy right? I started by playing in relation to my bankroll (i.e. $5 Sit'n'gos, $.50/$1.00, until my winnings were enough to help me climb the chain. I first advanced to $10 (turbo) sit'n'go and 1/2 hold em. I am not playing 3/6 and sometimes 5/10. I did have one good performance in a $50NLHE multi table tourney, placing 18th, which got me a cool $450.00.
Note: I did play a couple multi tables/sit n gos and did not make the money, but im sure everyone has dealt with the same.

I think I understand what you want to know.
If you are going to deposit money onto a site have at least 100 big bets for the highest stakes you intend to play for limit games. For instance if you intend to play up to $1/$2 you should have a minimum of $200, if this amount falls to $100 you should drop down to $.50/$1.
For no limit I suggest 8+ buy ins. so if you play the $25 tables you should have $200
if you deposit a small amount in relation to the stakes you play you will have to avoid bad luck right out of the chute, depositing extra money will alleviate this.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
