This is why I don't like the ICM for anything other than study. Trying to use it practically is almost impossible. For one thing it assumes all your opponents decisions are based on logic, which they most certainly are not! Any astute opponent will know you are using some set strategy by your earlier play/notes/whatever. Any bad player will make retard plays for no reason at all. Hell, they may call just because they don't like your screenname!!!

I like the ICM to show you where profitable situations may lie, but to use it practically in a game setting is asking a little much. A final point, too many players know about this and use it now, so it's sorta like the squeeze play: it worked well for a limited time and now the cat is outta the bag.

In the above example too shove in all your chips when the whole table is desperate based on the blinds (and therefore more likely to call) solely because of a 0.2354 to 0.2426 difference in equity is kinda silly in my mind.

I think this situation, with such a small equity difference, needs more information: is the BB a folder, how has he played up to this point, have you been active recently, whats your image, and so on. When all that is added up then you can make your decision with the help of the ICM.

personally speaking, i think if u can logically go through all the above information, you can come to a sound decision without consciously thinking about the ICM

also, imo, low limit SNGs can be easily beat without putting too much direct emphasis on ICM and ur .055% equity edges while ur sitting at the table.....it can be useful to go over hands and situations with at a later point if ur in a number crunching frame of mind but not worth stressing out over while ur actually playing.
