    Default Middle Tournament Strategy

Hey guys, it has come to my attention that lately i've been getting knocked out of tournaments just shy of the money. I haven't been able to apply my strategy of pushing the small stack and playing carefully vs the big stack because when i get to the last phase, top 80 or so, i'm small-medium stack so all i can do is wait for a decent hand to make a move.

So i figured i'd ask you guys to share some of your Middle-Stage strategy to compare and make any changes if i need to so i can get to that last stage a little better than middle stack.

    Thank You

Make sure restealing is a part of your game. That was my biggest leak. And dont be afraid to shove the short stack when you have to.

Also, you have to make sure you have the right mentality for MTTs. You have to play to win, not play to just cash. So what if you cash and spend 2 hours to win 2-3 buyins. If you have the BR for it, 3 buyins wont really matter. You have to play for the top spots, and if shoving on the bubble is the correct play dont be afraid to do it.

Go after the stacks with the most to lose, that is...the other middle stacks that are close to placing in the money. They won't be calling with anything but a very strong hand, so they're the easiest to pick on. Stay away from the big and small stacks unless you want to get all-in preflop.
