    Default Should I have known?

For some reason, Bison just won't convert this for me. I've tried several times and it just sits there for like 15 mins.

So it was a weak bet pre-flop, but that had gotten rid of the crap hands previously and did the same here. Mystmancurse's all-in meant nothing as he had been shortstacked and pushed at least 2x in the past 6 hands with crap and rivered to hang on. Jojotbone, I didn't know much about. He had just been moved to the table, IIRC. The turn bet was weak as well, and probably caused me cost me the most. I knew it was a weak bet, and thought he was trying to buy the pot because of it, since I was pretty sure the 6 on the turn didn't help him out.

I put the guy on a small pocket pair, and I thought I had him with top 2.

Thats a very ugly board for 99..... I dont know if I would have played it any differently though. I think the turn I would have put a big bet in again. Say annother 750 or whatever....if I was goin to go for it I would have gone hard, tried to get him out of the pot, take the money he had allready put into the pot. But, this could have also been a bad play, because if he is sitting on a 2 or 6 he will most likley call anything. I'm a very aggressive player after the flop. Pre-flop I wouldn't have raised in early position. That would have also given you a little mroe of a heads up, beucase jojotbone would have (I asume he would have) raised with JJ. And you would have probably laid your hand down after he raised on the flop assuming he had a high PP. Still, you didn't do much wrong, just got caught with him having a little better hand than expected.

226 is a great board for 99. THe flop action would be annoying, but not bad. OK the short stack has a 2 we assume, but the other has now added enough chips to the pot that we can play for this side pot. Be cause of the potential size of the side pot, this is not a check it down and see if we can eliminate him scenario. You play for that side pot now. You basically write off that main pot as dead now., unles you catch a 9, then its all yours

Turn, 2266, now theres less of a chance of him having a 6, and since we already have the short on a 2. he probably doesnt have one of those either. Make a pot size bet here too. Your bet was less than the PF bet... WTF? That is mondo weak bro. At LEAST 1k is required here. He'll probably get the hell outa the way then. He reraise is so much weaker than your bet, given the size of the pot, you should have pushed right then. Your weak PF bet (min raise) and his flat call tells me that hes got crap. i would be 90% sure thats hes got a crappy ace, and thats what hes drawing too. On the turn he figuresyou got crap too and he grew some balls and decided to test your weak bet with one of his own. I woulda pushed in right there. Force him out right then and there.

Of course his weak passive play woulda been my downfall since there was no way I coulda put him on JJ. A board of 22663 should have you jumping for joy in a raised PF pot with 99. Short of hitting a nine itself, this is a money pot.
Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

    PF -

I hate min raising (especially in EP). Either limp looking for set value, or kick it up 4-5xBB.

Your bet on the flop seems a little big - a little bigger than that pot.

Post flop play really isn't too bad, you only lost about 1200 chips. Not too much you can do in a spot like this.
