Default STUPID move

Playing a NL 500fpp tourny on Monday night.

When I entered I thought it paid 9 places $200+15.

Well I did very well and was sitting on 20K with 16players left. I check out prize, and to my surprise it only pays 4 places to the $500+30 tourny! SOB!! Still a lot of work to do!!

So I get to final table, down to 6players, Big stack has 90K, I have 35K and am in 5th place,

Talk of a chop comes into play. we have a prize pool of $2,120, 6players, Two will get NOTHING after 4hrs of play.

We cant get everyone on board, (damm big stacks), so we play on

I take out someone with my ATs vs his JJ (I raised he reraised, Was easy call with the pot odds at that time) Down to 5.

I bring up the chop again, I perpose the the 4 winners send 5th place the $30 juice , so 1-4 pay $500, and 5th would pay $120, I felt this was very fair. 2 guys wont go for it!

I build my stack up to 80K good for 2nd, Then it happened!!

Big stack on button with 85K
Me utg with 80K
Short stack has 18K in middle postion, 2 hand away from the blinds
Other two were at appx 60K
Blinds were 1k-2k $150 ante (i think)

I pick up QQ utg, Raise 1x blinds ( this was enuff to take down most hands preflop, wich i was doing a lot of)

All fold to Chip leader, he reraise (not a real big raise maybe 8K more)

WITHOUT FUCKING THINKING I MOVE ALL IN, He calls

Him KK
I rivered a Q high flush
He rivered a K high flush

and I am out 5th place! Which of course paid = NOT A DAMM THING!

Could not sleep that night, played this hand about as bad as i could!

STUPID FUCKING IDOIT!
Why risk it! His play up to that point told me that his reraise was a real hand,

What was I hoping for?!?!?! AK,AQ,AJ, JJ, TT, << They fold to my all in
AA, KK calls every time! All was needed was a reraise and see what happens from there! Cuz AK,AQ,AJ, JJ, TT, would just call, and AA KK would Raise it back at me, and then I could fold the bitches!

Live and LEARN!! ( i hope i leared my lesson here as it cost me a lot)

Brutal. (I'm assuming this was online)...often I have to take my hand off the mouse and keep it far away so when it's my turn to act I don't rush to a move. This has prevented me from a bad habit I got into...moving the bet slider to all in, THEN thinking. I used to be prepared to go all in, got freaked and just checked instead.

Tough end to what looked like a good run, you still get credit for that!

Kidding Right? QQ 5 handed, IMO Very good hand, Misplayed it, but still VERY playable 5 handed

Ouch.

You know what you did wrong.

No sense banging you over the head for it.

I kind of agree with av8 here. You must have the play to win mentality, but 2nd-4th IS winning. By coming in 4th you get the exact same prize as first. There is absolutely no reason to even be playing a hand against the CL. I'm folding to any raise made by the CL. You need to be in survival mode. It sucks that this happened, and hopefully you've learned from your mistake.

No need to be pissed of at yourself that much...

Sure you made a wrong moove, but 90% of players would have done it I think.

I remember doing about the same with AK agaist the CL KK.

Last time I did it with a vulnarable hand.

Just try to not forget the lesson...

Everyone has a time that they do something like this. Risk a little more than we should have for a tournament sometimes it turns out good, and some times this happens. Its a tough break, but if he had A-K it was still a coin flip, and if he had an Ace you have in pretty handled, yet he can still draw against you easily....its hard to throw down QQ and hard to not re-raise. In a live tournament you would have probably thought about this harder and would not have thrown it all in, but online its too easy!
