Default pretending to be trying to steal the pot

    hello

anyone remember the Todd Brunson (JJ) vs Tony Korfman (55)? YouTube - Todd Brunson vs Tony Korfman

    summary:
*** Todd - hole cards: JJ
    *** Tony - hole cards: 55
    blinds: 75/150 (not sure)

Todd raises to 450 to 600
    Tony calls

    *** Flop: Td 5d 8h

    Todd bets 1,500
    Tony calls

    *** Turn: 3c

    Todd bets 3,650
    Tony calls

    *** River: Tc

    Todd bets 8,875
    Tony raises 12,000 to 20,875

this flop has missed straight draw (9J) and missed flush draw
also, Todd shows strenght by betting, betting and betting, so he probably will have AT, high pair or 2 pairs

don't you think this would be a good situation to put a bigger raise, as some would do if they missed a flush draw? something like raising to 45,000

of course, you can be against TT, 88 or 66, but if you have reasons to believe that it's better to not raise at all

I dont get what you are asking. You think he should have raised more on the river? I assume he was guessing what Todd would be willing to call.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.

    yes
I guess that, if he raised like 45,000, Todd would put him on a missed flush draw and call anyway

unless Tony (didn't watch he playing much) never do this kind of bluff on the river and Todd knows that

Meh, seems like splitting hairs to me. I think he just figured this was a decent amount that Todd would call.

45k would be crazy amount to bet either for value or a bluff against a decent player.

45,000 is huge and makes no sense

also imo it's not really worth putting single hands by pros like this in a vacuum for analysis since we don't know their current image, opponent's image, history of the tournament, previous personal history, etc etc
