    Default 5 Card Draw

Does anyone know how to play this game at all? I'm pretty familiar with A-5 lowball, and I'm somewhat decent at 2-7, but I have no idea what to do in standard draw. I was curious if anyone knows some of the basic starting hand requirements and/or very general strategy. I'm trying to figure out the appropriate cards to dump, when to semi-bluff with your draw, what hands to raise with pre-draw, etc.

Besides the obvious hands like trips or better, Two pair with JJ or up (don't even bother playing a hand like 7744 unless you are attacking the blinds) Any pair QQ-AA, and any legit draw if their is 2 or more opponents or something like AKXX of the same suit since you have ok pair potential as well.

    and/or very general strategy.
The key is to really get the betting and drawing patterns of your opponents. In turn, you want to disguise your hand. For instance if you have KKTXX and raise, only draw 2 and keep the ten. or if you raise it up with that 7744 hand stand pat. Draw 1 with trips, and so on. You can do this until you are forced to show a few hands down, then you simply switch to a more vanilla game.

Also if you are in with a pair and an Ace keep the Ace, better shot of making aces up then hitting trips and there aren't many hands trips can beat that aces up can't.

I'm trying to figure out the appropriate cards to dump, when to semi-bluff with your draw, what hands to raise with pre-draw, etc.
All of the above are fine to open raise with pre-draw, if it's already opened you want to play less hands, especially if the opponent is tight.

thats all I can think of real quick at 1 in the AM, hope it helps.
