my name on this board is pretty ironic isn't it?
I do only play 6-max. the reason why i like 6 max is because i can remember the way other people play. i retain their style of play better in my memory. 9 seems to be too many players for me..my A.D.D. kicks in a lot while playing so i will have to work my way up there as far as focusing for a long time..

bankroll management ey.. from what i remember, the suggested for cash games is 5% and when you have 10% of your total bankroll, you have to leave when the blinds reach you. i understand the concept and i see that i'm not following the proper bankroll management.. for my defense, i only deposited $20 in my account and the smallest cash game in bodog is .05/.10 blinds. if i were to follow the suggested 5% of my bankroll, that means i can only play $1 (5%) of my total bankroll which is not enough for me to play. my solution was to turn my $20 to $200 and then play $10 (5%) on NL25, i always short buy...BTW, my bankroll is now at $150 so i have 50 more to go!!!
I do listen to the suggestions but i alter some things because not everyone is created equal...
other than that, any other suggestions guys?

the 5% rule is fine but the problem you have is sitting shortstacked. You should be looking to sit down with a full stack every time you play, so buy in for the max amount.
Basically, play limits where the max buyin is 5% of your roll. That would be good BR management.

I'm pretty sure bad players do this to minimize their potential loss

Can't stand a min buy
I can't stand min buy ins. I play NL400 (yes, with a 4k roll MJperry, laugh it up) on ultimate bet, and this guy always buys in with 80 bucks, while everyone else at the table is at 400, give or take. Ive never seen this person with more than 200 on them at any particulaur game and you can reraise them and they'll fold 6 days a week. I just dont get why people do this, at micros, i can understand, but if your sitting at a NL400 with 80 bucks, you just have to be retarded. I mean this person must do well part of the time because whenver they go bust they always rebuy and ive been seeing them for about a month now, playing at least 3 hours a night. Gotta be stressfull though. I'd rather just donk my 400 off all at once and then feel sorry formyself
As far as bankroll management goes, google chris jesus ferguson and how he turned 0.00$ into 10,000 in a year I think it was. I on the other hand know apsolutely nothing about it.

Pinguaq-i agree with you.. if a good player plays this way, i admit that they are not optimizing their possible wins. since i am NOT a good player but barely winning, i think this works for me. which is the exact reason why i'm in this forum, to learn.
Coleman- i'm sorry to hear about that man.. i can imagine how frustrating it is to play against someone like that.. oh well, it's better for you isn't it since they always fold anyways?
i did read ferguson's journey to the 10k mark.. i think he got all the way up to 30k but is recently back on 10k..must've been pretty hard playing in micro without much money.. i was telling myself that i'd be pretty happy if i could turn my 20 to 100 but i'm already passed that.. maybe i can turn it to 500 in a few weeks with the help of this forum..
