Default Cash game bankroll question

At what point would you move down in limits. For example if your personal # of buy ins was 20 that you need at a certain level. Lets say you have $1100 in your acount and are playing NL50. At what amount would you drop back down to 25NL? $500? $950? $750?

Depends on how you manage the swings. Some folk are so good at putting up with variance that they can take shots with 15 buyins or even less. Most of us aren't that good though.

20 buyins is a good point to move back down I suppose. If you have 1100 you could maybe take a 3 or 4 buyin shot and if you lose that, go down. I think that's what I did, I definitely remember playing 50nl at one point with less than 1k.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

if u can beat NL50 well, I'd prolly move down to NL25 with 500.
but its up to you.

maybe your not that good, maybe your swingy.

yesterday I played a bunch of NL50 a tiny bit of NL100 capped, and 160NL deep and had maybe two $200 swings w/ in 3 hours.

In the HU match alone I had about three $100 pots, one $200 pot, and one $150 pot all at NL50.

I would say you should prolly be playing w/ 30-50 buy ins. But I would play w/ as few as 10 if I knew I could beat the game. I just wouldnt push marginal spots, and play tight.

Giving up marginal edges and not playing your optimum game is not good.

Sorry bud but this is bad advice imo
