No, not really. Some are, but the math involved in poker can be learned over time. Math is a huge part of the game, but having an intermediate understanding of the numbers is only half the battle (GI Joe taught me that one).
There are plenty of star players that only know 90% of the math involved. I can't remember who it was, but one star was being filmed at the WSOP making a side bet with another star because neither one was sure about what was a favorite going all in preflop J10 suited or 44...you would think that after playing millions of hands they would know this one, lol (J10 suited is a couple points ahead of 44).
It's comparable to most things. Field experience and natural talent is more important than how much studying you've done (though studying the game is still extremely important).
