That's kind of an insane all in...I'm putting him on a high pair. I don't think I would call this if I were you. You still have alot of chips to work with and there are 2 other players to act, who knows what they will do. The will probably fold, but who knows?

I was a little pissed I had to fold, but within two hands I was up to 6800.
I did raise K9o a hand or two before and ended up all-in so I had to show it down, but I was on the button and only one limper in the pot, I ended up breaking Q8o on a flop of K T 8 J. That is how I got the stack I had here.

I dont like calling all-in with AK, but especially in multi-way pots because someone has a pair, and some of my outs are usually dead.

Yeah...that's a fold.
I always hate those situations early in online tournaments because it seems so many of the early big stacks are the people who took insane risks and/or made bad calls on superior hands only to hit their thin river draw or something. Still...gotta lay it down for now. Survive and advance.

So no one would gamble in a 1900 person tourney?
I would have rather gone out calling this than how I did.
This is probably a call from a pot odds perspective.

Hey Beavis,
Before I answer, could you tell me more about the guy for raised. Was he wild or conservative, fish or solid? Also, what were the stakes? Was this a $20 s&g or a $200 s&g?
Let me know,
Enrique

1900 people ehh.
I'd call, lot of people to weed through and having 3000 chips won't do you much good for long you're already at 50/100 blinds.
AK is dominated by 2 hands AA and KK otherwise you're a slight dog or a pretty strong favorite. his reraise might be a stone cold bluff tryting to steal a sizeable pot.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog
