Default Re-reading?

Guys, has any one of you ever read a book, then read it again after a long period of time to find it was profitable to do so?

Basically, I'm asking if you guys think it's a profitable idea to re-read most of my good poker books (after around 6 months of them being on the shelf)

That's about it,
Thanks

For me, learning poker is about having a concept finally click into place. You might have heard something here, something there, but one article/forum post/video/tutor finally puts it in the right way and it clicks. If you find you get that from books, then re-reading could certainly give you the idea that might make your game a lot stronger.

Wota would suggest forum posts and videos are more useful, it would be interesting to see if others agreed.

I believe Sklansky says in the forward of Small Stakes HoldEm (I think) that he recommends people reread his books at least once every other month or something like that.

It's 100% absolutely beneficial to reread books. Two reasons:

1. If you only have read it once or twice and just started playing a lot of poker I guarantee you havent mastered or even REALLY understood all the concepts in the book. It took me months to understand each Harrington book and actually start developing my own concepts about my game.

2. When you go on tilt (cough...KRE8R) its a great refresher of how right you are in your play and that you are just having a bad run. A lot of times when I get a little tilty in tourneys I pick up volume 2 HoH just to smooth me over an chill me out.

Yeah I was very much considering rereading Professional No Limit HoldEm Vol. I again this week. That book helped me a lot.
