Last time I played AA preflop on jeux poker it was entirely Dependant on the type of game. It would be very rare that I wouldn't raise AA preflop in limit holdem, regardless of the stake size. In upper limit games I raise with AA.

You only want to slow play a hand if you are willing to lay it down if you don't hit the flop. That kind of play is definitely on the advanced end and takes discipline to know when your beat.

Generally speaking you want to raise it up no matter what position you are in with AA and get the stragglers out of the pot. Nothing like having someone linger around to "see a flop" and then they bust you because you gave them odds to stick around.

Punch the gas!

I just hate the idea of slowplaying aces. Both you and your opponent(s) are going to have to hit monsters in order for you to get paid, plus you run the huge risk of getting outdrawn. The play where you limp AA UTG and then reraise someone is stupid too...everyone will know what you're holding if you do that. I tend to play aces preflop like I'm holding AQ.

Raise it up!

Slowplay AA in limit? I totally disagree. I personally think you have to raise and reraise if you get the chance with AA. (To a) get as much money in the pot while your ahead, b)knock out mediocre hands, and if you don't knock them out, atleast your making them pay to see the flop.

Alot of players (especially at lower limits) will call down to the river, so when you let a couple of people to see the flop with rubbish hands, and they hit a pair or a draw on the flop, they will call it down to the river.

Just for example, there's nothing more frustrating than letting someone in the BB with 2,7 hit a 7 on the flop, then a 2 on the river. If you'd raised preflop with your aces you wouldn't have that type of hand in play.
