Default Wow...I can just not win

I've been playing in this extremely easy tourney that I should atleast be placing in the money 1-3 times, but having played it 4 times, I haven't made it to the final table yet. 14 people, 3 get paid. We're in the first round of blinds that are .50/1. We started with $31(I know....weird number), and I was down to $18....I'll tell you about what happened to the other $13 in another thread. Anyways, its a very aggressive table pre-flop, but rather passive until the river. I'm in the big blind, and look down to see JJ. Guy in 3rd position raises $2, and one person calls. I raise $4 more, and they both call. The flop comes T72 rainbow. With $20+ in the pot, and only roughly $12 left, I obviously go all in. The initial pre-flop raiser calls, and flips over QTo. Turn comes Q.....and I'm gone. Did I do anything wrong?!

he figured you were betting on a pair of T and he had them with a Q kicker. so he called. i probably would have called too. if you were gonna go all in with just the pair, should have done it on before the flop. otherwise, should have waited it out to see what else came out.

I respect your opinion, but I'm over a 50% favorite after the flop. After a flop of all undercards, my only move is all-in. If I check, he is going to bet, and I'm back to deciding to go all-in or not. Better to put the pressure on the other guy.

Only start with 30 BBs? Stupid unless blinds are going up every two hours.

That might be your first problem. Seems like a bad format which favors luck over skill.

I would have raised more preflop but that's more just me being hyper aggressive than anything else.

I'm an idiot. Blinds were .25/.50.
