Try to figure out whos got what and how you think I played it. UTG Player was new to the table. I usually dont give new players who come in raisng much credit. Alot of Hit and runners here, So if I got a "callable hand", I'll call them down, so yes on this rare occasion, I like to play Sheriff. MP player was very LAP, popped quite a few hands pre-flop, then went and hid unitl the river, which he saw a lot of, so his PF action and Call down meant nothing new for him.
-----
My read on the hand (dont read until last!):
UTG bettor has JJ-TT, and MP most likely has an Ace, probalby A6s-AKo, I actually forgot that he flat called and thought he raised PF, hence the range of hand i put him on. I felt my hand had good over potential, and possibly stand-alone value here. UTG admitted to TT later.

3-betting that, then chasing with just the overs and no other draw is a little fishy.

How do you expect us to guess what they have when you say 1 of them is new and "might" be a hit and runner?
but to answer your question
It doesn't matter what they have, you have nothing. if they had legit hands they have you beat or drawing dead, if they raised with 56 or 79s or some other garbage they have you beat and possibly drawing dead if they have a straight or a set.
why does UTG have TT or JJ? aren't Queens or Kings just as likely? I think instead of reading their hands you "hoped" they had certain holdings that you could outdraw.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

this is actually a case where your position (being on the button) sucks, acting last means you can't knock anyone out unless UTG 3-bets.
That river raise sucked.
itneresting to know what UTG had, probably KQ or KJ eh?

He admitted to TT, which was consistent with his later play, if I remember correctly.
