(dr jekyl)utg is on his last hand. his range of pushing hands is basically any 2 cards. im risking 370 to win 1245 with 56s. thats 25% of the pot and pretty much all the time ill be higher than 25% favorite to win the hand. im only putting in 370 to jump my stack to 5k.
if i lose... he has 1200 and its still 5 handed and i continue to steal and chip up. i was picking up almost every pot uncontested so if i win(have 5k) or lose(keep stealing) i like the results.
basically i was running over the table at 5 handed. if he wins, i keep running over the table and chip up. if i win, i have a healthy 5k to go to the last table. i see it as a win/win situation for T370 chips
people on 2+2 didnt like it but i did... what you think

Hard to say if there is more value in seeing if someone else can bust him or not, but I think your raise was the right amount for the play.
It was risky, but you understood the risks.

I think at the very least the buttons yet to act would have meant I'd have folded.
If you've been running over the table then they are only coming back at you over the top (probably with genuine strength) and you'd have to lay down.
Same play on the BB, possibly.

That's because they're a bunch of book players playing people that've read the same books. You're investing 10% of your stack in a scenario where you're only a 3:2 dog in a VAST majority of scenarios.

I think Greg Raymer explained a similar situation like this about how it is NECESSARY to raise here, I don't remember why but he got bashed for it on 2+2 as well. I'll try to find a link on the article, it was a while ago.
Edit: Yeah, I can't find itLast edited by NoManner; 03-26-2005 at 08:38 PM.
