Default Poker Tracker software question

I am still learning it. Right away it helped me to stick a fish (loose passive / passive) label on some of my beloved table mates. And I received a smiley face as semi-loose aggressive / aggressive.

A few questions:

1) What kinds of opponents are the most dangerous?
2) What are the most important indexes when you look at a player? For example, here are my stats at NL2:
Put $ in pot = 29
BB/100 hands = 77
Went to showdown = 17%
Won at showdown = 82%
Raise PF = 10
Aggressive Factor = 8 (flop) 16 (turn) 6 (river) 8.5 (overall)

What does the above stats tell about me? Am I a donk or something? thanks!

1) TAGs. Watch out for people around 17/15/2
2) VPIP/PFR/AF
3) You need to raise more PF, play less hands PF and your AF is through the roof.

Thanks.

I think VPIP is probably a little higher for everyone in NL2, because people often don't raise preflop, so I can see more cheap/free flops as SB & BB. But indeed I probably still played too many hands. When everybody plays a lot you just can't resist to play more draw hands like suited AX, middle suited connector, etc.

I think if I play too few hands (VPIP < 20) people will start to fold my bets often. Right now in NL2, my primary source of income comes from calling stations. Guys with top pair calls me to river, etc. I am sure if I move up the limit I'll have to use new strategies because there won't be so many donors.

When I was playing nl2 I was running 22/18/4, cbetting a lot of flops and giving up to resistance without the goods on later streets. Aim for your aggression factors to be 6/4/2 on flop/turn river respectively and you'll run g00t.

And you're right about calling stations. Just never bluff them, and before you cbet ask yourself if you think you'll win the pot. If not just wait for a better spot and get payed.

Yep I know bluffing calling stations is a bad idea.
But from my limited experiences, only about 2 out of 10 players in NL2 are calling stations.
Others are still quite reasonable players who don't call with nothing.

For example, just now I had As Qs as the dealer, got several limpers in front of me. I raised 5X BB preflop and got 4 callers who just limped in before my raise. (interesting. They all got something good?)
Flop came down Ks rag rag. (pot now is ~25X BB)
All check to me. I bet 0.6 x pot and everybody folded, earning me a nice pot.

So I think some degree of over-aggressiveness is still pretty good.
My nemesis would be another over-aggressive player in later position, who would re-raise 1/2 pot with a middle pair just to make sure you got the King. :P

And all those number mean absolutely nothing until you get a decent sample size.

Don't change your style just to match some numbers. It's very counter-productive. Instead, use the tool to analyze your game, find where you are spewing money, and plug the leaks. The numbers will take care of themselves.
I study at KRE8R's School of Bankroll Management.

And for anyone using pokeroffice, convert your database to mysql. It's criminally slow if you don't.

QFT, it's why I no longer look at the average chip stack size in MTTs, for example. Aiming to numbers hampers your style.

That must be a small sample, there's no way you'd have that AF or that showdown win% over the long run.
For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.

I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.

True, how many hands is this over?

You need several thousand to ascertain your stats proper.
