I'm playing $6.5 turbos for that SnG challenge thing and i think i need to rethink my strategy. Can someone give me some pointers or just overall good strategy for these things. The blinds get so huge that when it gets down to the final 5-8 its almost impossible to find a good spot to get your money in. I know kid has said he has beat the $6.5 turbos, can you go through a good strategy on how to play these. Or if anyone else has any input.
Ps - Bonch saw me play one, maybe i just got unlucky.

Turbo SnG's

You want to get out to a big chip lead around level 4 so the blinds dont affect you that much. Then when it comes down to the final 5-8 u can be the one stealing the pots when the others try to "hang on"

I'd say I can place in probably 60% of these I play, and out of those win maybe 40%.
Try to play only very top hands early on when blinds are small (QQ+, AK). I drop AK to a big preflop reraise, I drop AQ to any reraise, I won't play AQ if someone before me raises large, I drop QQ to a big preflop reraise, and I immediately drop KK to a bet if an ace flops. But If my hand looks good/safe on the flop I will jam my chips in the pot to try to double up. It is ok to slowly get blinded for a while, though.
However, once the game starts getting shorthanded and blinds get larger I go crazy. I look at my stack in relation to blinds, and I look at my cards. If I think I probably have the best hand and I think its worth it to win the blinds in comparison to my stack, I go allin. I do this based on position, of course, and the other players(if the BB is a call station and I have a2 @ SB I'll try to avoid pushing on him unless Im very small cuz I don't want the coinflip.).
I also try to avoid callng other people allin on coinflips. If someone big goes allin before me and I have AK even, I'll generally fold, why take the chance? Good turbo sng play should be about avoiding confrontation unless you're a very big favorite. Just steal blinds.
Oh yeah, one last thing. If I'm short I will do position based steals with complete garbage if I think I can get away with it. You will never, ever see me get blinded out.
Other than that it's just experience.
