    ok.winning percentages and ratios. ima donk.in the middle of HOH2 still dont get it. says "our pots odds are about 7:5 OR 1.4:1. If we can win 42% of the time, were on the right side of the odds." ok im like . anyone who is great at shit like this PLEASE CONTACT ME ON AIM. ty

    I think it goes like this

    pot odds>win odds = +ev

    so pot odds 1.4:1 = 1/1.4 = 71%

    win odds= 40%

    = +ev

    If i'm wrong i'll feel stupid.

    I prefer talking percentages : instead of "3 to 1 dog", I prefer reading "your odds of winning are 33%"

    I think if you are a 3:1 dog, your odds are winning are 25%.

    I think the 40% is just an example. Basically you have to estimate your winning percentage.

    And if the pot odds, (71%) is bigger than your winning odds (40%), which it is, then its +ev (= evil shit ).
