This is the longest session i have ever played, so i figure these numbers best reflect me. Are these good? Should i be seeing 17% of flops. Also, is 63% of pots won at showdown really low? I ended up $100 for the session, but was wondeing if these numbers are at all funky.
During current Hold'em session you were dealt 783 hands and saw flop:
- 51 out of 83 times while in big blind (61%)
- 17 out of 86 times while in small blind (19%)
- 71 out of 614 times in other positions (11%)
- a total of 139 out of 783 (17%)
Pots won at showdown - 21 of 33 (63%)
Pots won without showdown - 31

Looking good....ANd yeah, this is just a small sample size vs the long run, but this good for a glimpse
Get PT's demo and get 1000 hands saved. Look at your PFR and Post flop aggressin factor. The PFR (Pre Flop Raise) Should be around 8%, and your AGF should be about 2.0.
But for the PS session, those are good numbers. I can usually only get about 400, 450 max 4 tabling before I go bonkers and go do something else for a few hours.
EDIT: actually, i think you may be a touch tight, but thats a personal preference. Maybe getting your Flops seen from other spots upto about 16%-17%. that'll put your overall about 20%. Seems like a fairly passive session, not being raised in the BB about half of the time. (11% im chalking up to having a hand).
But thats me being picky, those numbers are fine.Last edited by Marm; 03-13-2005 at 10:22 PM.

Wow i think i am just stupid, but i am getting really confused with pokertracker. Im having trouble importing hand histories from pokerstars and don't really know how all the other features work. Can anyone who uses it go through a good step by step on how to get started.

AHHH, OK if you dont have a POP3 email account (hotmail and Gmail have pop3 access, but I couldnt get it to work), you can just set PT to autorequest HH's every 5 minutes or so, PS will then Email you the HH log. Just save that text as a text file, then import it manually into PT. Thats what I did until i got gmail to work.
It'd be really good if you had all 700 some hands from that session saved/requested already as HH's.Marm is back, maybe. Been off for 3 years. Rusty as Hell.

PT stats
Im assuming this is NL
Marm's spot on the stats. Won at showdown can be very misleading. There are times when you call on BB and the hand goes to showdown with no-one betting. This factor really influences the won at showdown figure - so don't read too much into it.
The interesting one is PFR and your agression on all streets - are you a wannabe fish (dropping your bets on the turn!) or are you too tight for you're on good (postflop aggression >5). These are leak areas which you need to look at.
Under 'miscellaneous' you should be winning big with pairs and aim to be a winner in all positions other than SB and BB (I still have problems UTG which is about breakeven for me). Once you nailed all position winning you have to work on minimising loss on SB and BB.

We'd need to know what blinds, stakes, and at what site you're playing or at least the stakes (i.e. NL or limit) to make any comment. I'm thinking NL, though. You're BB flops seen% is pretty high, so I'm thinking .05/.10NL or .10/.25NL on PokerStars.
I have to reiterate on what Deme said. The showdowns are VERY deceiving in NL, especially when you're seeing 61% of the hands in the BB. This could mean a lot of big pots where people should've raised PF and got caught being cute, you feeling committed [fishing] to the pot in the BB, or just plain ol' bad play that resulted in being lucky.
31/783 w/o showdown is a little weak considering that he only showed down 33 hands. My pots won w/o SD are usually 150-175% of my # of hands shown down.

Otherwise, you're playing too many hands that you shouldn't have played or you're not being aggressive enough PF. You saw a ton of flops in the BB, so this could be a factor.
