Has anyone read it? Just arrived yesterday. Looks like it takes a day to read a single page, quite involved...
If noone has it I could write a short review in like... a year![]()

yeah, this will be 5x tougher then any sklansky book. I flipped through it @ B&N and it looked very tough.
Nitty.
I mean these guys basically explore every single possible thing you can.
Like you will find 3 pages dedicated to exploring the effect of trying to get laid if you are really good at poker, and rich, but do not look good.
Anyway, IMO this is a great read if you are very focused on the math. I mean I am guessing you wil understand what we are dealing w/ better after reading. Like there is alot of math beyond implied, reverse implied, and pot odds. This book explores it.
But is it manditory? No.
First you need to read TOP, and all the other good sklansky books.
Then you read HOH (vol. 2 is best IMO).
Then you read some other good books.
Then you are ready for Bill Chen's book.
Dont get me wrong; it is prolly a great read. But I am not sure I am ready for it. Nor do I feel I need to know some of thes maths he explores. But I do plan on reading it, b/c it looked very unique (not the same garbage all the poker books regurgitate over and over)I get more ass than a toilet seat. All shapes/colors/sizes.

I found it boring as hell.
Message to Mr. Chen: don't complicate simple concepts, leave that for Mr. Sklansky.
Why the hell do we need 5 pages on calculating your chances of hitting a specific flop or being dealt a specific hand????????? They act as though we are doing 5 page proofs at the tables! Is anyone doing math equations before each deal to see what their chances of being dealt AA or 59 offsuit are?
Isn't knowing I'm going to like the flop with 44 about 12% of the time good enough anymore? I don't need to figure out the chances of every possible flop. For christ sakes, poker is a complicated game to begin with, don't make it worse.
This book is like micro-managing. if your company is losing $100,000 a year don't act like a savior because you figured out a way to save $1.20 a month by switching the paper clips you use.Read my musings on poker and life at Online Poker Examiner, Poker Examiner, PokerNewsBoy.com, and My Poker Blog

I've just started reading this book. I was wondering if there were any more opinions from people who have read it since this thread?
It's pretty intense so far, they do like overdoing the details!
