Default Top pair + High Kicker

How much should I bet with top pair + a big kicker after the flop?

Whoa, way too general a question. It's dependent on stack sizes, how many in the pot, who the aggressors are, whether or not it's a raised pot, table image, reads, how many people are at the table and obviously which type of poker it is.

Post some specific hands and we can try and help.

Actually thats the kind of answer I was looking for, thanks.

I have only one specific question:
If i'm holding King/8 in a very passive 10 player no limit game with many players limping in preflop, and flop comes: 4 8 3 with no flush draws would it be safe for me to bet this middle pair?

First off, what posistion are you in? Blinds? Early? Middle? Late?

Why are we playing K8 anyway?

Limit or No Limit?

Tournament or cash?

Just don't play k8 and save yourself the trouble..
If it's a passive table you probably won't get paid off anyway...IMO

I'd bet it since it's a passive table; probably fold to a re raise though..

Okay I will take your advice eagle.

If I was playing for higher stakes I'd fold regardless, but I'm just playing for fun.
