Default loose against tight tight against loose doesn't make sense?

Go tight against loose players and go loose against tight players
    How can this be possible?

If tight is better than loose, how can loose be better than tight as well?
This logic confuses me a lot.

Say, I go tight against a loose guy, and fold a lot of pots to him. He wins a lot of undeserved pots and I just wait and wait and hope until I get a hand and when I do and I raise, he just folds or gets a better hand than me and screws me over.

(And i'm not that good at being loose and making big bluffs so I get screwed over when I try to go loose against tight guys)

    Any opinions?

    Simple concept:

    1. Tight against loose players - You will beat them more with hands like TPTK when the try to play at you with a weaker kicker.

    2. Loose against tight players - You can steal more money from them because they are easier to bet out of the pot and they fold more often.
Lots of good rakeback options at http://www.rakeguard.com/?raf=KRE8R

KRE8R probably has about seventy college funds in his NL5 roll.
