Here is the description:
Professional No-Limit Hold 'em: Volume I
Professional No-Limit Hold 'em: Volume I by Matt Flynn, Sunny Mehta, and Ed Miller, $29.95
No-limit hold 'em was once only a tournament game. Cash games were rarely spread in conventional poker rooms, let alone the Internet. All of that changed when the game exploded on television. No-limit cash games started sprouting up at casinos of all types.
No-limit hold 'em is now the most popular form of poker. Tournaments pushed it to the forefront, and a great deal of money can also be won here. But despite that fact, many players feel frustrated with their results. They win some money, only to lose it all on one botched hand.
This book teaches you how to play and think like a professional. It shows how to size your bets, manage the pot, manipulate your opponents, know when to go all-in, and avoid the big mistake.
Do you understand critical no-limit concepts like "The REM Process," "The Commitment Threshold," and "Stack-To-Pot Ratios?" If not, this is the book for you.
Expected shipping date is July 20, 2007

Anyone else interested in this book? As someone who specializes (read: I can't play tournaments for shit) in cash play, this could be very valuable. The last NL book that 2+2 put out was a HUGE, HUGE help to my game. While the "TAG IS THE ONLY WAY TO PLAY" dogma gets a little old from 2+2, they always give awesome analysis and advice.

I googled for those terms, found nothing. No clue WTF they're talking about.
Anyone?
I guess they made up those terms & mean direct/implied odds?

Really? Next you'll be telling me 2+2 published Theory of Poker?2+2 invents plenty of terms. They take a very theory based approach to the game.
I would bet.
1. I have played more hands of NLHE than Ed Miller
2. This book is a pile of crap
I will be happy to admit I am wrong once I have read it.

I admit that I am being narrow minded and as I said I should reserve judgment until I have read the book however judging by Sklanksys NL book I just don't expect too much.
I'm going to find out a bit about the other 2 guys and give a full response tomorrow.

I'll pick it up. I still haven't found a good NL cash game book. Harrington's book was a disappointment since it is geared toward tournament play. TOP was great, but it is written toward limit play. You can take the theory and apply them to NL, but it'd still be nice to see a book focus on NL cash...

06-25-2007 #9For Free Money, Rakeback and some 6x Ongame bonuses, I recommend PokerSource.
I recommend Cardrunners for superb poker coaching. It was honestly the single biggest improvement in my game signing up there! Sign-up fee might seem steep, but it pays itself back within weeks.
