haha, yes that reraise on the turn was way way out of line. but I would have bet the flop to protect your hand from the flush draw...

    You always either:
    a) Bet too little
    b) Bet too much

Bet sizing is a real weakness of yours. A good starting point is to bet 3/4 pot on flop and 2/3 pot on turn and river. That is just a starting point though, you need to be able to adjust bet sizes depending on situations such as how draw heavy the board is and how many players are in the pot

just start making yourself figure out the pot and implied odds every hand before action commences and figure out what the right bets for certain hands would be in these situations (mathematically speaking) this will not only give you a better handle on controlling your own betting patterns but will help you to decipher how others may play and interperate betting patterns

Actually... at baby limits I sorta like the push into a tiny pot. Almost all the time the original raiser is gonna call (they can't fold even a weak raising hand) and you'll get random calls from other terrible hands also. It's always nice to push with AA and have J9 and KQ call.

Most of the equity you lose from pushing early with big pairs is that you keep most hands from calling you. If they'll call with rubbish, the push is probably plus EV.

On your actual question... the overbets there aren't being aggressive, they're a sign of playing afraid. It's less aggressive to just push when you have a tough decision then to apply pressure in the correct manner to make the most money. Harrington called it fear of flopping... but it applies to later streets as well. Protect your hands, fine... but you always have to remember that if you actually prevent your opponents from ever calling you with bad hands, you will never make any profit in poker. Those calls are where you make your money!
-You may not know this, but poker is a game of incomplete information.
