I am starting to feel like a friggin poker moron - First a little background. I won a seat last year to the WSOP Main event. Played my ass off for first 2 1/2 days. I started day 3 just above the average chip count. Just after the first break, I was down about 20K for the day - still had 50K. There were 20 spots to go before everyone was in the money. I was on a tough table (Layne Flack, David Chu). I hadn't played a hand forever and on the break I decided to play cards the way I play. I come back in and I am under the gun with KK. Blinds are 1000-2000. I raise to 6000. Layne Flack calls ( much shorter stack than me) and then an unknown calls. The flop cames 8-7-3 with 2 diamonds. I immediately push all in with my KK. Flack can't call me quick enough (obv he hit a set) then the other dude calls. Mr X has QQ. The turn card is Q of diamonds. I do have the K of diamonds but no such luck - Flack and I go out just before the cash.
What am I doing wrong????

You need to raise more PF. At least 8-10K. You're UTG and with people calling your 3x raise, it sweetens the odds for all others behind you.
